About Janav
I’m a passionate and dedicated high school student with a strong interest in becoming an elementary school teacher in the future. I currently offer tutoring for Kindergarten to Grade 5 students in English, reading, science, and social studies. I have a genuine love for working with kids and my ability to connect with them in a way that’s both supportive and effective. I understand that every student learns differently, and I take the time to adjust my teaching style so that each child feels confident, understood, and encouraged to try their best. Even though I’m 16, I take my role as a tutor seriously. I show up prepared, organized, and ready to make learning fun and approachable!

As a tutor, I believe learning should be engaging, supportive, and adapted to each child’s pace. My goal is to create a space where students feel confident, curious, and encouraged to ask questions. I focus on: Interactive learning: using visuals, games, real-world examples, and discussions Positive reinforcement: encouraging effort, not just results Flexible pacing: slowing down or speeding up based on the student’s needs Fun & connection: I love working with kids and bring energy and patience to every session Warm-up (5 min): A quick check-in and review of what we learned last time Core learning (20–30 min): Focused time on new material using stories, diagrams, writing, and conversation Practice (10–15 min): Guided questions, small exercises, or games to apply what we covered Wrap-up (5 min): Review the key points, answer questions, and share something fun they learned I’m a high school student (age 16) who genuinely enjoys working with kids and wants to become an elementary school teacher in the future. I’m close in age to many of my students, which helps me connect with them easily and explain things in a way that feels friendly and relatable. I would love to become an elementary school teacher in the future.
