About Maddy
Hi! My name is Maddy, and I’m a university student studying English and Political Science. I’ve always enjoyed learning and helping others understand things that may initially seem difficult or overwhelming.
I offer tutoring in both English and French, and I especially enjoy helping students with writing, grammar, reading comprehension, assignments, and building their confidence. I also have a strong interest in literature and enjoy helping students understand how to analyze and discuss what they’re reading.
I’m a patient, friendly, and understanding tutor, and I know that everyone learns differently. I want my lessons to be a comfortable, judgment-free space where you can ask questions, make mistakes, and learn at your own pace.
Whether you’re looking for help with schoolwork, preparing for a test, improving your French, or simply wanting to feel more confident in English or French, I’m happy to work with you and find an approach that works best for you!

My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and personalized. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach because every student learns differently. I'll work with you to figure out what you're struggling with and then break it down into manageable steps.
My goal isn't just to help you finish an assignment. I want you to understand why something works so that you can use those skills on your own in the future.
