About Sianna

My name is Sianna. I grew up in an academically driven household and hence faced many tuitions from as early as 7; it is safe to say I am well aware of effective teaching styles.

I studied for the 11+ and applied to 3 selective private schools and 4 selective state schools (all of which I got in). I ultimately ended up joining the Tiffin Girls' School, a selective grammar school.

That being said, I know the system at the back of my hands due to my first-hand experience of it. In addition to this, I have tutored before for an in-person tuition centre, which was incredibly successful for myself. I watched many students progress under my wing and I hope to do so more!

About the lesson

In my lessons I shall firstly develop an understanding of what the student is hoping to learn as well as their goals. For example, a student may want to improve their spelling or creative writing.

From there I will develop a study plan. I like to ensure the student is happy with the plan as we move forward and confirm this with small tests every 1-2 weeks. I will also provide assessments that cover more than one topic across larger periods of time (such as every 5 weeks).

Furthermore, I will set homework that is beneficial to the student's learning rather than excessive and time-consuming.

From there the student and I should see strong results and fulfilled goals!
