About Olivia

Hi! My name is Tess Riley, and I am a second-year student pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Over the past year and a half, I have gained valuable experience as a tutor, honing my skills in a diverse range of subjects including ACT preparation, Precalculus, Physics, and Calculus. This experience has equipped me with the ability to not only explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner but also to inspire my students to develop a passion for learning. I look forward to sharing my knowledge and helping you achieve your academic goals!

About the lesson

My teaching approach is highly personalized and tailored to the needs of each individual student. At the beginning of each lesson, I always inquire if there are any specific topics or concepts that the student would like to review. If not, I proceed by introducing the topic at hand and providing a comprehensive overview. To further reinforce their understanding, I engage the student in a series of relevant and challenging practice problems. Throughout the lesson, I provide constructive feedback and encouragement to help them achieve their learning objectives.

She was willing to sit down with me and walk me through problems in an easy-to-understand way even though math and science aren't my best subjects at all.
