About YAN
Hi there! I’m YAN LONG, a passionate and adventurous Chinese teacher with a love for both language and travel. I’ve had the unique experience of teaching Mandarin at an international school in Thailand, where I got to meet students from all over the world. It was an incredible journey that not only let me share the beauty of the Chinese language but also introduced me to a mix of cultures and perspectives. When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me exploring new corners of the globe. I’ve been lucky enough to travel to over 20 countries, soaking in new languages, foods, and cultures along the way. Each adventure has taught me something new about the world—and often, the best way to understand a language is by experiencing it firsthand in different places. My teaching style is anything but boring. I believe learning Chinese should be as fun and exciting as a world trip! Whether we’re diving into pronunciation or chatting about Chinese culture, I make sure every lesson is interactive, engaging, and full of stories from my own travels. From Bangkok’s bustling streets to the quiet corners of ancient cities, I bring a global perspective into my lessons, making Chinese more than just words—it’s about connecting with the world around you.
