About Gayatri
I have taught a varied age group and a varied range of abilities as well. My role as a tutor is to guide a student and nurture in them a love of English language and literature. I firmly believe when my tutees are successful in their exams, it is usually the result of their own effort and due credit should be given them, not me.

I am a British national and have worked as an English tutor for more than 10 years. I teach a varied age group, ranging from years 5 and 6 pupils sitting their 11+ exams to years 10 and 11 pupils sitting their GCSE and IGCSE exams. My style of teaching is aimed at encouraging students to engage with and meaningfully interpret a text on a deeper level. My lessons are informal and discussion based, with open ended questions to encourage pupils to infer, analyze, interpret and evaluate various texts. I also provide a wide variety of resources to that end and always assign homework to ensure that learning is effectively consolidated.

Details
Although the basic rate is for an hour only, the lesson will usually run to another half hour/45 minutes extra depending on network connectivity, preparation time, setting up etc.
