About Aravindakumara
Hey players and athletes! My name is Aravindakumara, and I am an international badminton player with over 10 years of experience in the sport. Badminton has been a significant part of my life, and my passion for the game was inspired by my parents and family, who are all avid badminton players. Their constant support and dedication motivated me to pursue excellence and share my love for badminton with others.
I have had the honor of representing Malaysia internationally, including competing at the World Deaf Badminton Championships 2023 in Brazil, where I reached the semi-finals. I am also proud to be a Japan Deaflympics 2025 athlete, representing Malaysia on the biggest stage for deaf sports. In addition, I achieved semi-finalist positions at both the Jakarta SEA Deaf Games 2025 and the Asia Pacific Deaf Games, showcasing consistent performance at regional and international levels.
At the national level, I have achieved notable success by becoming a two-time SOPMA finalist (Malaysia’s biggest deaf badminton tournament), securing third place at SOPMA, and emerging as the champion of the SIRKIT tournament. These accomplishments reflect my dedication, discipline, and competitive mindset in badminton.
(For your information: I am partially deaf, not fully deaf. I can hear with the assistance of hearing aids and communicate verbally without issues.)
Currently, I am actively training and competing at a high level, working closely with certified coaches and former national players. Training alongside state and national-level players allows me to continuously refine my skills while staying updated with modern techniques and strategies.

As an international badminton player, I bring both experience and passion into every coaching session. My teaching approach focuses on creating a fun, engaging, and supportive learning environment while building strong fundamental skills. I use a combination of interactive drills, visual demonstrations, and practical on-court exercises to help students understand techniques clearly and enjoy the learning process. Complex movements are simplified, and personalized guidance is given to address each student’s strengths and areas for improvement. As an active competitive player, I apply current techniques and modern training methods, adapting each lesson to the student’s level.
Lesson Duration
Each session typically lasts 1 to 2 hours, allowing sufficient time for warm-up, skill development, structured drills, match practice, and cool-down. This ensures effective learning, hands-on practice, and time to address questions.
Qualifications & Coaching Experience
I am an international badminton player who represented Malaysia at the World Deaf Badminton Championships 2023 in Brazil, reaching the semi-finals. I have also achieved success as a finalist, semi-finalist, and champion in multiple tournaments. My competitive background enables me to provide high-quality coaching with real match experience and practical insights.
