About Thiago
I’m a native Brazilian Portuguese speaker from Rio de Janeiro, with experience living abroad and using different languages in real-life situations. I speak Portuguese, English, Spanish, Italian, and some French, so I understand how challenging and rewarding it can be to learn a new language.
My goal as a tutor is to help students feel confident, comfortable, and natural when speaking Portuguese. I focus on practical communication, pronunciation, vocabulary, and everyday expressions that people actually use in Brazil.
I adapt my lessons to each student’s level, interests, and personal goals, whether they are learning Portuguese for travel, culture, work, relationships, or simple curiosity. My classes are flexible, friendly, and focused on real conversation, not just memorizing grammar rules like humanity hasn’t suffered enough.

My Portuguese lessons are focused on real-life, day-to-day conversation, helping students build the confidence to communicate naturally in practical situations.
Each class is adapted to the student’s level, goals, and reason for learning Portuguese, whether they want to travel, connect with Brazilian culture, improve professional communication, or simply feel more comfortable speaking.
I also include updated materials based on each student’s interests, such as music, news, social media, culture, travel, food, movies, and everyday topics. This makes the learning process more personal, useful, and engaging.
My goal is to create lessons that feel natural, flexible, and connected to real life, not just grammar rules from a textbook that nobody wants to marry.
