About Irene
汉语作为一个表意语言, 比表音语言学习起来困难得多. 当我在英法访学的时候, 我了解到有许多同学有学习汉语的想法, 但是因为汉语学习的难度而退缩了. 这是我想要做一名对外汉语老师的初衷, 我也因此想给更多的人展示我的母语的魅力之处. 希望你和我能在未来的课堂上相见!
As an ideographic language, Chinese is much more difficult to learn than a phonetic language. When I was studying in England and France, I learned that many students had the idea of learning Chinese, but were discouraged by the difficulty of learning Chinese. This is the reason why I want to be a teacher of Chinese as a foreign language, and therefore I want to show more people the beauty of my native language. I hope that you and I will meet in the future class!

Since the most important thing in learning a language is pronunciation, I will start with pinyin (phonetic symbols). At the same time, I will assign a lot of reading materials for students to read aloud.
So my course is for beginners. Of course it depends on the level of the student, but in general it is not too difficult. I want to keep the class active and fun while teaching.
