About Spanish

¡Hola! I’m Santiago, a native Spanish speaker from Colombia currently living in New York City. I have experience teaching English and Spanish, and I love helping people connect through language.

As an English learner myself, I understand how intimidating it can feel to speak another language. That’s why I bring patience, encouragement, and clear explanations to my lessons. You can ask questions, make mistakes, and learn at your own pace.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy playing tennis, exploring the city, and meeting people from different backgrounds. I’d love to learn about your interests and help you express them in Spanish!

About the lesson

My Spanish lessons focus on helping you feel comfortable using the language in real life. Whether you want to connect with your partner’s family, communicate at work, or travel through Latin America, we’ll practice conversations that matter to you.

Each lesson combines guided conversation, useful vocabulary, and simple grammar explanations. We’ll start with a short warm-up, practice a topic through questions and role-play, and review expressions you can use right away. I adapt the pace to your level and explain in English whenever you need extra support.

As a native Colombian Spanish speaker, I also introduce natural expressions, pronunciation, and cultural context. You’ll have space to make mistakes, ask questions, and practice without pressure.

My lessons are for adults, from beginners to learners who already know some Spanish but need more speaking practice. Available online or in person in New York City.
