About Tiffany
As a native New Yorker, born and raised, I bring a wealth of diverse experiences to my teaching. I have studied healthcare administration at Purdue Global University and have worked in various fields, including tax offices, non-profit housing programs, home health aide agencies, tile distribution, and at Mount Sinai Hospital. All of these experiences have exposed me to many different language speakers, from those with little to significant difficulty communicating in English. As a first-generation American with Jamaican and Cuban roots, I understand the challenges of learning a new language and the importance of clear communication. I also speak basic to intermediate Spanish and have a passion for vacationing in Vieques, Puerto Rico. Additionally, I’ve had the privilege of raising my two children, preparing them for preschool, kindergarten, and life, which has really honed my overall skills and patience in teaching and providing guidance. I look forward to bringing this diverse knowledge and experience to our lessons, helping you grow in confidence as you master English.

In our lessons, we’ll start with the basics: learning the alphabet, numbers, and essential vocabulary through flashcards with pictures to help reinforce learning. As we progress, we will build towards simple sentence formation, greetings, and introductions to ensure you feel confident using English in everyday situations such as travel, asking directions, and first impressions. I like or strive to keep lessons interactive, fun, and personalized to fit your pace and needs. I believe that learning engaging through visuals, repetition, and practical exercises will allow you to use what you’ve learned right away. Together, I hope to create a strong foundation that will help you feel comfortable and confident speaking and understanding English as you progress to more advanced topics.
