About Joe
I’m Joe, a native English speaker from the United States, and I’ve spent a large part of my adult life teaching and living in Vietnam. That experience has given me the chance to meet people from many different backgrounds and has made me very comfortable communicating with people who are still building confidence in English.
Personality-wise, I’m relaxed, patient, and pretty easy to talk to. I enjoy getting to know my students as people rather than treating every lesson like a textbook exercise. I think good conversations happen when you can laugh, ask questions, make mistakes, and talk about things you actually care about.
Outside of teaching, fitness and health are a big part of my life. I’ve been involved in fitness for many years, and I’m very interested in training, nutrition, healthy habits, and personal development. I enjoy conversations about improving yourself, setting goals, and trying to become a little better over time.
After 13 years of teaching, one of the things I’ve enjoyed most is meeting people from different countries, ages, careers, and walks of life. Every student has a different story, and that is one of the reasons I still enjoy teaching.

I focus on practical English that you can use in everyday conversations, work, travel, and real-life situations. My lessons are relaxed, supportive, and adapted to your individual level and goals. We can work on speaking fluency, pronunciation, listening comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, and helping you sound more natural when you speak.
Over my 13 years of teaching, I’ve worked with a wide variety of students and professionals. In addition to teaching children and high school students, I’ve privately taught adults and worked with students in banking as well as doctors and pharmacists who wanted to improve their English for their careers. I’ve even done professional voiceover work, which has given me additional experience with pronunciation, clarity, and natural spoken English.
I believe the best way to improve your English is to actually use it. You’ll spend plenty of time speaking during our lessons, and I’ll help correct mistakes, explain why something sounds unnatural, and teach you useful expressions that native speakers really use.
Whether you are a beginner, an advanced learner, or simply want to feel more confident speaking English, I will tailor each lesson to help you make steady, practical progress.
