About Robert

I teach students using the communicative approach, focusing on learning through oral expression using everyday and practical English as it is spoken in the United States. Students receive high quality coaching and teaching of American English in a personalized and professional way, aimed at learning for life.

Learning a second language improves your memory and strengthens your native language. Being bilingual makes you a stronger candidate, also, knowing a second language broadens your global perspective and you fully capture the experience abroad. With a native speaker, you learn English in a fun and natural way, appropriate pronunciation and accent, and authentic and practical use of vocabulary and understanding of the culture within the language / behind words. You will not only be encouraged, but required to speak in English.

About the lesson

The key to learning a language is using the language and living in the language. This can be done anywhere in the world and I will show you how. With me - a native English speaker - you will learn English and will be speaking clearly and with confidence in months.

Through dynamic and creative teaching, in an environment of positive feedback and trust, students are inspired and encouraged to use English with confidence. With a focus on fluency, students are provided well-rounded training in the four communicative skills – speaking, listening, reading, and writing – relating them to grammar, spelling, syntax, pronunciation, idioms and even specific objectives such as conversation for trips, negotiations, meetings, and job interviews. Also available, specialized classes in preparation for international exams such as IELTS and TOEFL plus corporate training education, where students learn business vocabulary and expressions and how to use this language in situations experienced in their practical means in everyday business and business management.

There are no books or course material to buy. Instead, materials are provided to the student, i.e. videos, audio clips, articles on topics that are of interest to the student and/or in their professional area. Classes can take place in a variety of suitable places, such as your employer, home, or a coffee shop. During class we speak in English the entire time - this is best for you, the student. If there is a question about a word, we will use the dictionary. If we are both having trouble, then we will consult an online translator.
