About Angel

My name is Angel, I’ve been tutoring English for years and I’m currently finishing my TESOL (ETA) certification. I love working with people from different backgrounds and helping them feel more confident speaking English especially in real-life situations.

I’m flexible, patient, and easy to talk to, and I always adapt my lessons to the student in front of me. No matter what your goal is when it comes to English, whether you’re prepping for an English test, studying in an English speaking country, or just want to improve your conversational English, I’ve got you.

About the lesson

My teaching style is flexible, student-centered, and very practical. I don’t believe in forcing students into a rigid lesson structure, instead I believe in adapting my teaching to each learner’s level, goals, and pace. I’ve been tutoring for years and I’m currently in the process of completing my TESOL certification, which has helped me further refine how I explain, structure, and support language learning.

Teaching Methodology and Techniques

I always start by getting a sense of my student’s English level. This helps me understand what they already know, where they struggle, and what they want to improve. From there, I build lessons around them.

I focus a lot on clarity and confidence. I explain grammar in a simple, understandable way and immediately connect it to real scenarios. I use conversation, examples, repetition, and gentle correction so students feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them. I adjust my explanations as needed; if something doesn’t click, I will explain it differently.

A Typical Lesson Plan

For one-on-one lessons, sessions are fully personalized. A typical lesson might include:

A short warm-up or conversation

Focused work on grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, or exam skills

Practice through speaking, writing, or listening

Clear feedback and corrections

A quick recap and optional practice to work on after class

When teaching multiple students, I use a modified standard lesson plan as a base structure, but I keep it flexible and interactive. I adjust the pace and content depending on how the class is responding and what the group needs most.

What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor

I’m very adaptable and easy to work with. I’m comfortable teaching a wide range of students and learning goals, and I’m good at adjusting on the spot. I create a supportive, low-pressure environment where students feel comfortable speaking and asking questions. My goal is always to make English feel less intimidating and more usable in real life.
