About Etienne

I am a young French national living in Leeds with my new wife. I have spent the last ten years in the UK and have a passion for building connections between British and French people and culture. I have spent much of the last ten years providing one-to-one tutoring services, first as a student in Scotland, but also while pursuing my day-job in the humanitarian sector. Having been inspired by several fantastic teachers along the years, I believe in the value of sharing what I received and am passionate about promoting student progress and development.

About the lesson

* My approach is very interactive and adapts to the needs of the student. I start with a frank conversation about the student's objectives and propose a plan to reach them. * I encourage the student to speak from day one. I make the most of the lesson time by listening to the student and proposing concise and relevant comments and feedback. * The lesson structure can vary. We can spend an hour in conversation, or dive into vocabulary or grammar exercises, text analysis or even school work. We will focus on what you need most right now. * The lesson is typically an hour long but we can make it shorter for beginners, or longer (and dive deeper!) I charge pro-rata (£20/h). * The lessons are for students of all ages and levels. I have taught secondary school students, university students and established professionals.
