About Adèle

I'm Adèle, a native French speaker from France and a French
teacher specializing in exam preparation. I founded Français
Prep to help people pass the TCF Canada and TEF Canada — the two exams that decide so much for candidates hoping to build a
life in Canada.

I've been teaching French for a few years already. I've noticed the same pattern again and again: what holds people back is rarely their French. It's not knowing what the examiner is actually looking for.

I understand what's at stake. For most of my students this
isn't a hobby - there's an exam date, an immigration file, and
a great deal riding on one score. I take that seriously, and
I'll always tell you honestly where you stand and what's
realistic in the time you have.

That said, my lessons are relaxed. You will make mistakes out
loud, in front of me, and that is exactly how it should be.
It's the fastest way to improve, and no one has ever been
judged for it in my classroom.

À bientôt,
Adèle

About the lesson

I'm Adèle, a native French teacher from France and the founder
of Français Prep. I specialize in the TCF Canada and TEF Canada, the exams IRCC accepts for Express Entry and francophone immigration programs.

My method starts with an honest diagnostic. In the first lesson
you do a short timed speaking task and a written production in
real exam format, and I tell you your actual NCLC level — not
the one you hope you have. From there we set a target level and
work backwards from your exam date, so every lesson has a
purpose.

A typical lesson runs like this: we begin by reviewing the
corrections from your last piece of work, so the same mistake
doesn't survive into the exam. Then you do a timed task under
real conditions — tâche 2 or tâche 3, speaking or writing. I
correct it with you live, out loud, explaining which structures
cost points and what to use instead. We finish with targeted
work on the grammar or vocabulary that task exposed, and you
leave with one production to prepare before we meet again. I
correct that one by hand before the next lesson.

My lessons are for adults preparing for the TCF Canada or TEF
Canada, usually between B1 and C1, aiming for NCLC 7 or higher.
Some are already in Canada; many are preparing before they
arrive. I also teach learners who simply want structured French
with real correction. I teach in French and in English - if your
French isn't strong yet, we explain in English and practice in
French, and shift the balance as you improve.
