About Klara Elise

I grew up in Hamburg, Germany but moved around the globe a little bit. I went to school in Ireland for a while, worked in Japan for some time and now moved to Norway last year. While I have learned English at such a young age that it now comes completely natural, learning Norwegian has taught me (again) what it means to learn a language from scratch and especially reminded me that Duolingo can only get you so far. I would love to help make your journey of learning easier!
About me as a person: I'm enjoying the cold Norwegian weather by staying inside reading or spending time with my cat.

About the lesson

The biggest part of learning a new language is to gain the confidence to speak. While I believe that one can learn the basics of a language it is hard to reach a higher level just with Duolingo and some textbooks. Depending on your level we can go through the basic grammar and practice with simple conversations or focus on more advanced topics, broaden your vocabulary and make you gain the confidence to master the German language.
I am from Hamburg in Northern Germany which is one of the areas with the least accent so you'd learn what we call Hochdeutsch :)
