About Akinsa

Hello! I’m a native German speaker from Switzerland, where I completed my entire school education and earned my Swiss High School Diploma (Matura).
Having recently moved to Ireland, I am excited to share my language skills and help students feel confident when learning German. Having gone through intensive exam preparation myself, I understand the challenges students face. I am passionate about teaching and love creating an encouraging, practical, and supportive environment to help students improve their speaking, grammar, and exam performance.

About the lesson

Is your child preparing for the Leaving Cert or Junior Cycle German exams and looking to build confidence, especially for the Oral Exam?
I grew up and completed my entire schooling in Switzerland, graduating with the Swiss High School Diploma (Matura). As a native German speaker living in Newbridge, I offer personalized private German tutoring ("Grinds") and conversation practice.
What I focus on:
Targeted preparation for the Oral Exam (pronunciation, vocabulary, natural conversation, role plays)
Grammar fundamentals, vocabulary building, and essay reviews
Homework support tailored to Junior Cycle and Leaving Cert curriculums
Flexible scheduling is available throughout the week, either in-person in Newbridge or online via Zoom.

Sarah

She’s my best friend and she used to help me with maths a lot back in school. She is incredibly patient and has a real talent for explaining difficult topics in a simple and understandable way. She always takes her time and makes sure you actually understand the subject. I can definitely recommend her as a tutor.
