About Kate

I have over 10 years of tutoring experience, and always have a lot of fun teaching my students. I will never be that boring and strict tutor that makes you dread our session every week. I think we've all experienced that and I never wanted to be that teacher! So here I am, ready to make learning a new language fun!! I tutor English, French, and German, as I speak all 3 languages fluently. I grew up in Alberta, Montreal, and Toronto and lived in Germany for 7 years up until 2022. I have been living in Alberta for a little bit over a year now again, and am tutoring students in Canada, as well as my long-distance German students. I love chatting and speaking about any topics that may interest you in the language you would like to learn, and I will always listen to your suggestions and needs, in order to make our sessions and time together the most optimal for your personal learning success!! Hello! My name is Kate and I am German/Canadian. I was born in Bremen, Germany and lived in Canada for 18 years. I grew up speaking German and English, and I lived in Germany for 7 years. I have over 10 years of experience as a private tutor. I tutor English, French, and German, as I am fluent in all 3 languages. My teaching methods are very unique to each student, based on their individual learning needs/skills. Some learn well visually, others by speaking, writing, whatever works best for you, I will always work with you. I look forward to hearing from you soon, Let's learn together and have some fun! Kate

Thank you Kate!!! You have helped my children improve their German so much faster than I had ever thought possible. We are a German/Canadian household and I am so lucky to have found Kate! She makes the lessons fun even when they’re online - the kids love it! She speaks fluent German with no English accent whatsoever. She is great!!! I definitely recommend her if you are looking for a tutor.

Kate is an amazing and fun tutor! My daughter and son look toward to their lessons every week because she just makes it fun. She is not like other tutors we have had before, she is exactly what I had been looking for for so long! The kids learn AND have fun. My son’s English has gone from 75% to 93%. Insane! And my daughter’s from 85% to almost 100% average… I am so grateful to Kate. Thank you!
