About Arturo
I grew up in Florence and Milan, where I received a formal Italian education, and my family is from Salerno near the Amalfi Coast. I regularly visit friends and family across Italy, and I enjoy sharing this connection and passion for the language and culture. I am a native speaker of both Italian and English, which allows me to understand both languages deeply and help bridge the cultural and linguistic differences for learners. I love Italian food and enjoy cooking my grandmother’s recipes, as well as dishes from other places such as Bologna. I especially love returning to the Campania region for its pizza and parmigiana (eggplant parmesan). Growing up in Florence also sparked a love for soccer, which is very much part of everyday life in Italy and something I’m always happy to talk about.

I can help with schoolwork or practical Italian for travel, such as getting ready for an upcoming vacation. I’m also happy to hold conversations entirely in Italian and to explore cultural aspects of Italy beyond just the language.
