About Elena

Hi! I'm Elena, a native Italian speaker born and raised in Italy and currently living in Dublin.

I have a Master's Degree in Law and an international background that has taken me from Italy to the UK and Ireland. I have lived in London and Lancaster, studied at Lancaster University, and participated in several international and European projects, including experiences connected with the United Nations.

Alongside my main career in the financial sector in Dublin, I also work as a freelance Italian-English translator and interpreter, including assignments in legal and healthcare settings. This has given me extensive experience working between the two languages in situations where accuracy, clarity, and understanding different ways of communicating are particularly important.

Living and working abroad has also given me first-hand experience of what it takes to become confident in another language. I know the difference between understanding a language in theory and actually feeling comfortable using it in real life.

As a native speaker, I can help you learn not only correct Italian, but also the expressions, pronunciation, and everyday language Italians actually use — together with the cultural context behind the language.

I'm friendly, curious, and patient, and I like creating a relaxed environment where you can ask questions, make mistakes, and build confidence without feeling judged.

Hi! I'm Elena, a native Italian speaker from Italy, currently living and working in Dublin.

I offer personalised Italian lessons and conversation sessions, adapted to your level, goals, and interests.

1) Italian Lessons
Whether you're starting from scratch or already have some knowledge of Italian, we can work on grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, and speaking through structured lessons tailored to your level.

2) Italian Conversation
If you already understand some Italian but struggle to speak confidently, we can focus on real conversation. We'll work on fluency, pronunciation, natural expressions, and vocabulary while discussing topics that genuinely interest you.

3) Italian for Travel
Planning a trip to Italy? We can focus on the Italian you'll actually need: ordering at restaurants, hotels, transport, shopping, asking for directions, and dealing with everyday situations. I can also help you understand some of the cultural differences and expressions you'll encounter while travelling around Italy.

4) Italian for Work & Professional Situations
For those who need Italian professionally, we can work on formal communication, workplace vocabulary, emails, meetings, and professional conversations, adapting the sessions to your particular needs.

5) Real Italian
As a native speaker, I can also help you go beyond textbook Italian and understand the expressions, pronunciation, and everyday language Italians actually use.
