About Francesca
Ciao!
I am a native Italian speaker from Rome, fluent in Italian, English, and Mandarin Chinese. I have several years of teaching experience and have helped adults of all levels—from complete beginners to advanced learners—achieve their language goals.
Whether you are planning a trip to Italy, relocating for work or study, preparing for the PLIDA exam, or simply hoping to impress your Italian partner and family at a wedding, I can create lessons tailored to your needs and interests.
I hold a degree in Mandarin Chinese and Art History from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London, and have lived and studied in Beijing. My multilingual background allows me to understand the challenges of learning a foreign language and to explain grammar clearly and effectively.
My teaching style focuses on practical communication, combining conversation, vocabulary building, listening exercises, and grammar in a relaxed and supportive environment. Lessons are interactive, engaging, and designed to help you gain confidence speaking Italian from day one.

What to Expect from Online Lessons
Our first lesson is designed to help us get to know each other and assess your current level of Italian. Whether you are a complete beginner or already have some experience, I will evaluate your speaking, listening, reading, and grammar skills to understand your strengths and areas for improvement.
During this session, we will also discuss:
Your goals (travel, relocation, work, exams, conversation practice, etc.)
Your previous experience with Italian
Your preferred learning style
How much time you can dedicate to studying between lessons
How often you would like to have classes
Based on this assessment, I will create a personalised learning roadmap tailored to your objectives and schedule.
Future lessons are interactive and focus on building confidence through conversation, practical vocabulary, listening activities, and grammar exercises. After each lesson, I provide notes and optional exercises to help reinforce what we have covered and accelerate your progress.
My aim is to make learning Italian enjoyable, effective, and adapted to your individual needs.
