About Laura
I am a professional school teacher in Italy, specializing in the English language and Italian for foreigners, with over 30 years of teaching experience.
Originally from Southern Italy, I now live in the North, close to the Austrian border. This journey has given me a deep, firsthand knowledge of the different regional accents and cultural nuances across Italy. I am incredibly passionate about diverse cultures, which drives me to travel extensively both within my own country and abroad.
Sono un'insegnante, specializzata in lingua inglese e italiano per stranieri, con oltre 30 anni di esperienza nell'insegnamento. Originaria del Sud Italia, oggi vivo al Nord, vicino al confine con l'Austria. Conosco a fondo le sfumature culturali e i diversi accenti di tutte le regioni italiane. Amo viaggiare e lo faccio spesso, sia in Italia che all'estero, mossa da una grande passione per la scoperta di culture differenti.

My name is Laura and I am a native Italian teacher. Having deeply studied languages myself – holding a C1 certification in English – I know exactly what it feels like to challenge yourself, overcome language barriers, and learn to speak a new language with confidence.
I completely understand the challenges and hesitation of learning Italian as an adult. That is why my goal is to create a welcoming, calm, and supportive space where any anxiety fades away, allowing you to express yourself and improve step by step.
My method:
My online lessons are fully tailored to your pace, interests, and goals: whether you want to learn Italian for travel, professional reasons, to rediscover your family roots, or simply out of love for our culture.
We will focus on active conversation, listening, and authentic materials (ranging from art and literature to lifestyle and daily culture), learning grammar naturally through practical usage.
Note for beginners: Thanks to my C1 English level, we can use English as a bridge whenever you need to clarify complex rules or ease into the conversation. This ensures a smooth, stress-free experience from day one.
The first introductory session is free: it will allow us to meet, assess your level, and outline your personalized learning plan. I look forward to meeting you!
Mi chiamo Laura e sono un'insegnante madrelingua italiana. Avendo io stessa studiato a fondo le lingue – possiedo una certificazione di livello C1 in Inglese – so esattamente cosa significa mettersi in gioco, superare il blocco linguistico e imparare a comunicare con fluidità in una nuova lingua.
Capisco perfettamente le difficoltà di chi impara l'italiano da adulto. Per questo, il mio obiettivo è creare uno spazio accogliente, sereno e protetto, dove esprimersi liberamente e migliorare passo dopo passo.

Le mie lezioni online sono interamente modellate sui tuoi ritmi, interessi e obiettivi: che tu voglia studiare l'italiano per viaggiare, per motivi professionali, per riscoprire le tue radici familiari o per puro amore verso la nostra cultura.
Sfrutteremo la conversazione attiva, l'ascolto e l'analisi di materiali autentici (dall'arte alla letteratura, dalla cucina alla vita quotidiana), affrontando la grammatica in modo naturale, pratico e contestualizzato.
