About Mana

Hi, everyone! I'm Mana Omori, currently residing in North Carolina and working as a Japanese teacher at a university. Japanese is often described as a challenging language to learn, but I believe it's a fascinating and incredibly beautiful language! I've always had a passion for teaching Japanese, and during my studies, I focused on it as a minor major. Whether you want to learn a few words, prepare for a trip, engage in conversations, enhance your skills, or simply make new friends, I'm here to assist you. Learning Japanese can be an exciting journey, and I'm here to support anyone who's eager to give it a try. Please don't hesitate to get in touch with me. About the lesson

-Japanese (writing, speaking, listening) -JLPT test N5~ -Business Japanese -Traveling Japanese -WELCOME BEGINNERS! (most of my students are beginners!) -Any levels are welcome! In my lessons, you can learn Japanese grammar, kanji, hiragana, katakana, speaking, listening, and culture. But it’s not only “Japanese” — we’ll also explore many other things related to Japan! My lesson policy is simple: both the student and the teacher should have fun. That’s why I’m always looking for interesting materials, videos, and cultural topics to make learning enjoyable. I also never forget that Japanese can be a very challenging language, and that you are working hard to learn it. I respect my students and their efforts, so if you have any questions, I’ll always do my best to answer them anytime. Perfect! Omori sensei is a very competent and focused teacher. She is also well organized with regular fresh and interesting material such as cultural insights of cultural activities happening in Japan on that week or month. Perfect! My soon-to-be-5-yrs-old daughter speaks primarily English, and like many children her age, struggled with a short attention span and emotional regulation. Teaching this age group requires a special skill set beyond just language instruction—it demands the patience and creativity of a pre-K educator.

Mana-Sensei had no prior experience teaching a student this young. It's been over a year since they started working together, and it hasn't always been easy. There were times my daughter didn't want to start class or wanted to leave in the middle of it.

Mana-Sensei has been incredibly receptive, constantly seeking for my input and was accommodating my requests. She is also remarkably patient, consistent, and always has a big smile. We had many discussions to figure out the best approach. And It's also clear that she's done her own research to find ways to understand better and connect with my daughter.

Now, my daughter asks me when her next class is, eagerly anticipates and gets excited for the day it's coming. She'll say, "I can't wait for Mana Sensei's class!" She has even mailed Mana-sensei a postcard on her own.

Mana-Sensei has been an absolutely phenomenal teacher for our daughter over the past year.
