About Kenta anaya

Hi! I'm Kenta. I was born and raised in Osaka, and after moving to the U.S. I became fluent in English, so I know firsthand what it takes to learn a new language. I speak Japanese and English fluently, plus some Spanish.

I've been teaching Japanese one-on-one for several years. I build each lesson around your goals, whether that's travel, anime and media, the JLPT, or living in Japan. You'll get clear explanations, real conversation practice, and steady progress you can actually see.

About the lesson

Every lesson is built around your level and goals, from complete beginner to advanced. In our first session, we'll do a quick level check and set a plan together.

We'll work on speaking, listening, reading, and writing, with plenty of real conversation practice. Whether you're preparing for a trip, studying for the JLPT, or just love Japanese media, I'll adapt the material to keep you motivated. I can also teach culture and etiquette for visiting or living in Japan.

My goal is a relaxed space where you can make mistakes, ask anything, and see real progress.

I personally know Kenta Anaya and he is the most passionate person I have seen when it comes to teaching Japanese. He doesn’t do it just as a job. He treats it as a hobby and truly enjoys helping his students improve their skills. He is always talking about the progress his students make and seeing them grow makes him genuinely happy. I strongly recommend him because he teaches with passion, is very easy to talk to, and adapts his lessons to each student.
