About Mia
Hello! My name is Mia, and I'm a native Japanese speaker from Kumamoto, Japan, who has been living in the United States for over 10 years. Being fluent in both Japanese and English allows me to explain concepts clearly and bridge the gap between the two languages, making learning less intimidating.
I genuinely enjoy helping others achieve their language goals, whether they're learning Japanese for travel, work, school, anime, or personal interest. I believe that every student learns differently, so I create a welcoming and encouraging environment where questions are always welcome, and mistakes are simply part of the learning process.

I am a native Japanese speaker who grew up in Kumamoto, Japan, and I teach students of all levels, from complete beginners to advanced learners. My lessons are tailored to each student's goals, whether they want to improve conversational skills, prepare for a trip, study grammar, or gain a deeper understanding of Japanese culture.
My teaching style is patient, flexible, and interactive. I believe that language learning should feel engaging rather than overwhelming, so I adapt my explanations and activities to different learning styles. A typical lesson may include conversation practice, vocabulary building, grammar explanations, listening exercises, and cultural topics.
What sets me apart is my bilingual background and my experience explaining Japanese concepts in clear, natural English. I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions, helping them build confidence step by step.
