About Sarah

I’m a native Japanese speaker with professional tutoring and classroom teaching experience. I’ve also studied Japanese in a university setting, so I understand both the natural, everyday side of the language and the grammar-focused approach used in school.

I work with each student differently depending on their goals, learning style, and current level. Whether you’re completely new to Japanese, taking a class, or trying to sound more natural in conversation, I’ll help you build confidence and understand the language rather than just memorize it.

About the lesson

Lessons can focus on conversation, pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, or schoolwork depending on what you need.

Beginners are absolutely welcome. We can start from hiragana and basic sentence structure, or work on material you’re already studying.

I can also create personalized exercises and worksheets and help you understand the little nuances that textbooks often leave out. After our first lesson, I’ll tailor future sessions around your level and goals.

Whether you’re learning for school, travel, anime/manga, work, or simply because you love Japanese culture, lessons can be as structured or casual as you’d like.
