About Ceizy

Hi there! I'm a native Korean speaker currently living in New Zealand, working full-time while exploring a new passion project: sharing my language and culture with people like you.

I actually know exactly what it feels like to be on the other side of the language-learning journey. I once studied abroad at a language institute myself, learning a new language in a completely different culture, so I understand firsthand what makes language learning exciting, and what makes it genuinely difficult. That experience shapes how I teach: with patience, empathy, and a real understanding of where you might get stuck.

Living overseas has also shown me just how meaningful cross-cultural connection can be. I've made many wonderful friends here who love Korean culture and K-pop, and through those friendships, I've learned how to bridge the gap between the Korea you see in the media and the real, everyday Korea, including the little cultural details and things to be mindful of that you won't find in a textbook or on screen.

I'm not teaching because it's my full-time career, but because I genuinely love connecting with people through language and culture, and I'd be so happy to share that with you.

About the lesson

Hi, I'm a native Korean speaker, and I'd love to help you learn Korean in a way that feels natural and enjoyable, not stressful! My lessons are relaxed and warmly paced, always shaped around what you personally want to learn, so every session feels like it's made just for you.

I teach one-on-one, over video call, and we work out the length of each lesson together based on what suits you best. Right now, I especially love helping with three things: travel conversation, for anyone dreaming of a trip to Korea; K-pop and K-culture, for fans who want to understand lyrics, interviews and everything their favourite idols say; and everyday workplace Korean, for professionals working alongside Korean colleagues or companies.

Whatever your level, whether you're just starting out or already comfortable with the basics, you're very welcome here. I'll gently guide you at your own pace, and together we'll build not just your Korean skills, but your confidence in using them. Let's make learning Korean something you genuinely look forward to!
