About Nova
Hi! I’m Nova, a native Korean speaker currently studying at University of Sydney.
I have previous teaching experience working with primary and middle school students, where I taught English speaking, grammar and academic skills. Through this experience, I learned how important it is to explain things clearly, be patient, and adapt to each student’s pace and learning style.
As someone who is currently studying and living in Australia, I understand both the excitement and the challenges of learning and communicating in another language. I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, without feeling pressured or embarrassed.
Whether you are learning Korean from scratch or already know some Korean and want to become more confident speaking it, I’m happy to help you learn at your own pace.
I’m reliable, well-prepared and genuinely enjoy helping people learn. Most importantly, I want Korean lessons to feel useful, encouraging and enjoyable!

My lessons are friendly, practical, and tailored to each student’s goals. I focus on helping beginners feel comfortable using Korean in real situations rather than only memorizing grammar rules.
Depending on your level, lessons can include Korean pronunciation, Hangul reading, basic grammar, everyday conversation, useful expressions, and speaking practice. I like to explain concepts clearly in English first when needed, then gradually encourage students to use more Korean during the lesson.
A typical lesson is around 60 minutes, but the content can be adjusted depending on your goals and learning style.
I am a native Korean speaker and have previous teaching experience with students from primary to middle school level, including English speaking, grammar, and academic support. This experience has helped me learn how to explain new concepts patiently and adapt lessons to different learners.
My Korean lessons are especially suitable for complete beginners and beginner-level learners, including university students and adults who want to learn Korean for everyday conversation, travel, study, or personal interest.
