About Jekal

Hello! My name is Gapseong, and I am a native Korean speaker and a researcher at Seoul National University. Through my academic work, I have developed the ability to explain complex ideas clearly and communicate with people from different backgrounds.

I achieved an overall IELTS score of 6.5, so I can support beginners in English whenever Korean explanations become difficult. As someone who has also studied a foreign language for academic purposes, I understand the challenges of language learning. I am patient, well prepared, and committed to creating practical and personalized lessons that match each student’s goals and learning pace.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed for international students, researchers, and professionals who are preparing to study, work, or live in Korea. Rather than following one fixed textbook, I customize each lesson around your specific goals, such as everyday conversation, university life, academic and research communication, workplace Korean, travel, pronunciation, or grammar.

I achieved an overall IELTS score of 6.5, so I can explain difficult concepts and answer your questions in English when necessary. After identifying your current level and goals, I will create a personalized learning plan with practical speaking activities and detailed feedback.
