About Mateo

¡Hola y bienvenidos! I'm delighted to be your Spanish tutor, and my name is Mateo Guariguata Arroyo. My background is a fusion of diverse Latin American heritage, as I'm a Costa Rican born to my Colombian mother and Venezuelan father and have lived most of my life in Lima, Peru

Having spent significant time in Peru, I've absorbed the nuances of the language and culture firsthand. This gives me a special insight into the various dialects, idioms, and cultural intricacies that make Latin American Spanish so vibrant and diverse. Whether you're a beginner or looking to refine your skills, I'm here to guide you through this exciting linguistic voyage.

Beyond the realm of language, I'm a true enthusiast when it comes to hobbies. From practicing yoga to embracing the discipline of jiu-jitsu, I believe in holistic well-being and the balance it brings to our lives. Music is another love of mine, and you might even catch me working on a beat or creating melodies in my free time.

But what truly ignites my soul is teaching. Sharing the beauty of language and culture is my passion, and I've discovered that my diverse background and personal experiences provide a unique perspective that enhances the learning process. Together, we'll explore not just the grammatical rules and vocabulary but also the fascinating stories and traditions that shape the Spanish-speaking world.

As we embark on this journey, remember that language is more than just words; it's a bridge that connects us to people, stories, and ideas. Our lessons will be engaging and interactive, incorporating elements of my own journey, cultural anecdotes, and even a touch of music to keep things lively.

So, whether you're yearning to express yourself in a new language or dive deeper into the heart of Latin American culture, I'm here to guide you. ¡Vamos a empezar! Let's begin this adventure of learning, growth, and connection.
