About Wqy
I am a native Mandarin speaker from China and a University of Sydney student. I enjoy meeting people from different countries, learning about their backgrounds and exchanging ideas across cultures. Teaching Mandarin is meaningful to me because it allows me to share Chinese language and culture while also improving my own communication skills and understanding of the world. I am patient, responsible and open-minded, and I aim to make every student feel comfortable, respected and encouraged throughout their learning journey.

I am a native Mandarin speaker and a University of Sydney student. I have taught Mandarin to one student for six months and provided Chinese language tutoring to students in China for one year, helping them improve their confidence and academic results. My lessons are designed for beginner learners who want practical Mandarin for everyday conversation, travel or personal interest. In a typical 60-minute online lesson, we practise pronunciation and tones, useful vocabulary, simple sentence patterns and speaking. I adapt the pace and topics to each student’s goals in a friendly, low-pressure environment.
