About Zhuowen

I am a native Mandarin speaker currently living and working in Ireland. I enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds and helping others learn Chinese in a practical and enjoyable way. I would like to teach Mandarin because I know that speaking with a native speaker can make a big difference when learning a language. I am patient, easy to talk to, and happy to adapt the sessions to each student’s needs and interests.

About the lesson

My lessons are flexible and built around what you actually want to learn and talk about. We can focus on everyday conversation, vocabulary and pronunciation, or explore more interesting topics such as Chinese slang, social media, entertainment, food, travel, culture and current trends in China. I can also share useful expressions and explain how Chinese is really used in daily life, including phrases you may not find in a textbook. If you have a specific goal, such as preparing for work, travel, exams or professional communication, we can also make the sessions more structured and focused on your needs. The aim is to make learning Mandarin practical, interesting and relevant to you.
