About Sabrina
Hi! I’m Sabrina, a native Mandarin speaker from Taiwan. I grew up in a Mandarin-speaking environment for 19 years and am currently studying at university in Sydney.
Mandarin has always been one of my strongest academic subjects. I consistently ranked at the top of my Mandarin classes throughout primary and secondary school and achieved PR95+ in Mandarin in both the Taiwanese CAP and GSAT examinations. Having studied Mandarin extensively in an academic setting as well as using it as my first language in everyday life, I’m confident teaching everything from pronunciation, conversation and vocabulary to reading, writing, grammar and more advanced Mandarin.
I want to teach Mandarin because I really enjoy helping people understand a language that has been such a big part of my life. I also know that learning a new language can sometimes feel intimidating, so I want my lessons to be comfortable, encouraging and tailored to each student’s goals and pace.
Whether you’re starting from scratch, learning Mandarin for school or travel, or looking to improve your fluency, I’d love to help you become more confident using Mandarin in real-life situations.

Growing up speaking Chinese my whole life, I’m confident in my ability to teach the language and share my knowledge with students from all backgrounds!
I tailor each course to the individual student’s goals, needs, and learning style. Lessons can be taught in either Simplified or Traditional Chinese, depending on your preference.
Courses can include: speaking and pronunciation, writing, reading, listening, everyday conversation, vocabulary and grammar
There are no age or proficiency requirements — whether you’re a complete beginner or already have experience with Chinese, lessons will be personalised to suit your level and goals.
Lesson length is also flexible and can be adjusted to fit your schedule and learning needs.
All kinds of students are very welcome! Whether you’re learning Chinese for school, work, travel, everyday communication, or simply for fun, I’d be happy to help you build your skills and confidence.
