About Christina
I am a fun, helpful and chatty student currently studying for my Bachelor's in the UK. Despite being born and raised in England, I have a strong connection to my Chinese roots and have retained a strong and fluent grasp of the language. I am a native speaker, but did also attend classes to boost my ability as a child/teen, and so I have the best of both worlds—I have an intuitive grasp of Mandarin, but also understand what it is like to be taught it! I seek to help others with their Mandarin journey using the same methods and materials that taught me. Hope to connect with you soon!

Depending on student level, lessons will progress from pinyin (alphabet-based system used for pronunciation) to basic B1 level Mandarin characters, using a specialised syllabus created specifically for international students learning Mandarin. For students wishing to focus on speaking and listening, lessons can also be adapted to function as loosely-framed conversations around common topics decided on beforehand, with no level limit to conversational lessons.
Lessons can range from 30 minutes to an hour.
I am a native Mandarin speaker who was born and raised in the UK, giving me a strong grasp of English and Mandarin. I achieved a 9 in GCSE Mandarin, dropping only 16 marks overall. Additionally, I have been through the teaching programme myself, and so have knowledge of what it is like and how to teach it.
Lessons are aimed towards new learners or people looking to improve their conversational Mandarin, of any age!
