About Lixia

Hi, I'm Lixia, a native Chinese speaker in Boston with clear, standard Mandarin.

I teach school students and adults, in person in the Boston area or online.

For school students: I support your school Chinese classes. If you have a textbook, we follow it. If you don't, I prepare lessons just for you.

For adults: we focus on speaking — daily life, and the topics you actually want to talk about. I currently teach a working professional this way, with materials I prepare for him each week. It works well, and he has progressed quickly.

A little about me: I was an engineer, so I explain things clearly and logically. I also write fiction in Chinese, and I'm happy to help with reading and writing.

First lesson free — $50/hour.

About the lesson

1). A free test and talking within one hour ,in order to
Evaluate:the current Chinese level of the learner
Determine the target:what the learner wants to achieve.
Discuss the material and methods with the learner.

2).Give the lesson plan

3). Can give math, chemistry, physics Chinese literature,
Chinese history. Reading classics.
I believe language is not just vocabulary and grammar,it is a way to understand people,history,and culture.
