About Dasha

Hello! My name is Daria, and I grew up in Russia, where I completed my primary school education in Russian. I was born in the United States and raised in a multicultural and bilingual environment speaking both Russian and English. Later, I completed my higher education in the U.S., where I earned my degree in Performing Arts & Dance.

In addition to language teaching, I have experience working with children, teenagers, and adults in areas such as education, coaching, movement, and sports. My background in performing arts and experience as a rhythmic gymnastics coach help me create lessons that are dynamic, welcoming, and personalized.

I especially enjoy helping students develop more natural communication, confidence, pronunciation, and cultural connection with the Russian language while also sharing authentic expressions and everyday cultural aspects.

My multicultural background and experience living between different countries have deepened my understanding of language learning, cultural adaptation, and communication across cultures. I strive to create a respectful and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable practicing and expressing themselves naturally.

About the lesson

My lessons are primarily in Russian and tailored to each student’s goals, interests, and level. I mainly focus on conversation, helping students develop fluency, confidence, pronunciation, and more natural communication skills in real-life situations.

During our lessons, we may discuss topics that interest you, read and talk about articles, expand vocabulary, practice pronunciation, and work on grammar in a practical and natural way through communication. Lessons can be adapted for travel, conversation practice, cultural understanding, or overall language improvement.

As someone who grew up speaking Russian from childhood, I also enjoy sharing cultural aspects, natural expressions, and authentic ways of communication that help students connect more deeply with the language.

To help clarify concepts when needed, we may occasionally use English during lessons. I aim to create a welcoming, respectful, and judgment-free environment where students feel comfortable practicing Russian and making mistakes as a natural part of the learning process.

I have experience working with children, teenagers, and adults, always adapting my teaching approach to each student’s individual needs and learning style.
