The lesson structure varies depending on the student's goal: For conversation: I prepare an article or topic for the student to read about prior to the lesson, usually about an aspect of Russian culture. During the class, we have a dynamic discussion about the topic to improve fluency. For writing: Prior to the class, I will ask the student to do a short writing exercise which we will mark together in class. Then we do a dictation exercise to work on grammar and spelling. And we'll finish off with a quiz to consolidate the learned topic.
