About Jero

About Me: A Life Dedicated to the Art of Language
My journey with languages began over 20 years ago, driven by a simple but powerful realisation: learning a language is not just about memorising words; it’s about gaining a new soul.

As a Graduate in English Philology, I spent years deconstructing the English language to understand its mechanics, its history, and its rhythm. This academic path wasn't just a career choice; it was my way of building a bridge between my world and yours. I didn't just learn to speak English; I learned to understand how you think, which makes me a uniquely effective guide for your Spanish journey.

Why I am passionate about teaching you:
Teaching Spanish is my way of opening doors for others. My passion doesn't come from a textbook; it comes from the 'Aha!' moment—that precise second when a student finally understands a complex concept or expresses a deep thought in Spanish for the first time.

I want to share this passion with you because:

• I believe in empowerment: Seeing a professional or a student gain the confidence to lead a meeting or a life in a second language is what drives me.
• I love linguistic 'detective work': I enjoy finding the exact reason why a student is stuck and providing the 'key' that unlocks their fluency.
• I value cultural exchange: Every class is a two-way street. While I teach you the nuances of Cervantes’ tongue, I also celebrate the diversity of perspectives you bring to our sessions.

After two decades in ELE and DELE training, my enthusiasm hasn't dimmed; it has evolved. I am more committed than ever to proving that with the right mentor, Spanish is not just a subject to be studied, but a vibrant, beautiful world to be lived.

About the lesson

My Methodology: The "Contrastive Analysis" & "High-Efficiency" Approach

With two decades of teaching at the highest level, I have moved beyond traditional methods. My approach is rooted in Applied Linguistics, specifically designed for English speakers who want to stop 'translating' and start 'thinking' in Spanish."

1. The Philological Advantage (Contrastive Analysis)
Because I am a graduate in English Philology, I don't just teach you Spanish; I decode it for you. I identify the 'linguistic friction'—those areas where English logic clashes with Spanish structure (like the Subjunctive or Ser/Estar). We bridge the gap between your native grammar and Spanish, saving you months of confusion.

2. The DELE Precision Framework
For those seeking official certification, I use a performance-driven strategy. We don't just study Spanish; we 'hack' the exam. I focus on:
• Strategic vocabulary to impress examiners.
• Error-pattern recognition to clean your speech of fossilised mistakes.
• Time-management techniques for the reading and writing sections.

3. Cognitive Immersion (Not just conversation)
We won't just 'chat'. Every session is a structured Cognitive Immersion. I use the "80/20 Rule": 80% of your progress comes from mastering the 20% of language structures that natives actually use in professional and social contexts.

4. Curated Premium Resources
You won't need to buy books. You will have access to my private library of curated materials, including:
• Audio-visual analysis of real-world Spanish.
• Custom-made cheat sheets designed for English-speaking professionals.
• Weekly Feedback Reports tracking your evolution in fluency, accuracy, and pronunciation.
Why this works:
After 20 years, I know exactly where you are going to struggle before you even do. My method is not a 'one-size-fits-all'; it is a tailor-made linguistic suit designed to make you sound sophisticated, accurate, and confident
