About Marisol
Hi! I’m Marisol — half Mexican, half Spanish, and currently based in beautiful Edinburgh. By day, I work in the energy industry helping lead new sustainability projects, but I’ve always loved teaching and connecting with people through languages. I have previous tutoring experience in chemistry, history, and maths — and now I’m bringing that same friendly, structured approach to Spanish lessons! I’m all about keeping things fun, practical, and focused on real conversations, culture, and confidence. Whether it’s Spanish for travel, work, or just because you love the language, I’ll make sure you enjoy every step — and sound like a local while doing it!

¡Hola! I’m Marisol — a native Spanish speaker with both Mexican and Spanish roots, based in Edinburgh. My lessons are dynamic and conversational, focused on helping you sound natural and confident while learning real-life expressions, pronunciation, and cultural context. Each session lasts around an hour and blends practical conversation, accent improvement, and listening activities — no boring textbook routines! I also hold a Business degree and have professional experience working with Iberdrola in Madrid, so if you’re learning Spanish for work, presentations, or business travel, I can tailor lessons to your professional goals. I teach online and in-person in Edinburgh, and adapt every lesson to your level, interests, and learning style.
