About Claudia

I’m a native Spanish speaker from Spain and a university student currently studying Artificial Intelligence. I enjoy languages and I’m especially interested in the different ways Spanish is spoken across countries, including its pronunciation, expressions and everyday vocabulary.

As someone who has learnt English as a second language, I understand what it feels like to learn a language from the other side. I know that speaking, remembering vocabulary and making mistakes can sometimes feel difficult or embarrassing, so I always try to be patient, friendly and create a comfortable environment for my students.

Although I’m at the beginning of my journey as a tutor, I have my own experience as a language learner and understand the different challenges students can face. I’ve also explored other languages myself, including beginner-level German, and I believe learning a language should feel useful, enjoyable and rewarding.

About the lesson

We’ll start with a free 50-minute intro session. We’ll chat about your current Spanish, what you want to get out of it, and what kind of lessons would suit you best. Whether you’re starting from zero, want to speak more confidently, prepare for an exam, or learn Spanish for travel or work, I’ll tailor everything to your goals.

My lessons are structured but interactive. We’ll use prepared exercises and materials, and we’ll also speak a lot. Depending on your level and goals, we can focus on vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, listening, everyday Spanish and real-life situations. I also help students with GCSE and A-level Spanish, including exam prep and practice.

I don’t think one lesson plan fits everyone. Someone learning Spanish for a holiday needs different vocabulary and activities from a GCSE or A-level student. So I adjust the topics, activities and pace to what you actually need.

During speaking, I’ll correct you as we go and explain things when it helps, so you can spot your mistakes and improve. I can also set optional homework, vocabulary practice, short exercises or reading, if you want extra practice between lessons.

Lessons can be in English, especially for beginners who need extra explanations. But if you prefer, I’m happy to use as much Spanish as possible.

I currently teach at weekends, depending on the day and time. Lessons are one hour long.
