About Adrian
I am a Ph.D. student at the University of Toronto in the Department of Molecular Genetics. Even though science is my passion, I love languages!
I was born and raised in Ecuador and I came to Canada in 2016. When I came here I was confident that I would be able to communicate in English as I was pretty sure I knew all the grammar. What a big mistake!
Grammar is an important component of any language, yet, it is useless if you are not able to produce the sounds of the language.
If I could back in time I would start learning phonetics first. I can help you don't make the same mistake I made.

With me, you will first learn the phonetics of the language, then learn basic words that will allow you to communicate with other Spanish speakers, followed by vocabulary lessons tailored to your needs, and finally grammar lessons.
My method differs from the conventional way of teaching languages as grammar is not the focus of my lessons. The end goal is to be able to communicate in the target language, and for that, you need to know how to produce the sounds of the language.
