About Alejandra
I am a final year Politics and Economics student at UCD who came to Ireland 3 years ago. I grew up in a very international environment where several languages were spoken. As I have become older I have realized how beneficial this was for me and now I would like to help people improve their Spanish through having conversations, since speaking tends to be the most difficult part about learning a language. I already have experience helping people with their speaking since I practice it with some of my friends in Ireland and some family members who are non-native Spanish speakers. From this "informal" experience I have learned that I am incredibly patient with people who want to learn my language and that it really excites me when someone is interested in trying to speak Spanish. Alongside my passion for languages I have other interests such as sports, music, crafts and traveling.

I take an immersive and interactive approach to teaching Spanish, prioritizing speaking so students can improve their ability to communicate and take part in daily conversations in Spanish. The lessons would be primarily in Spanish, avoiding speaking English as much as possible, only when needed. I believe vocabulary should be taught within a context rather than memorizing a list of words and expressions. For that reason, I introduce new words as the conversation develops to help facilitate remembering them in the long term. The lessons range from 45 to 60 minutes and are available for all levels and all areas of interest.
