About Candela
Hello!!! My name is Candela, I'm 22, from Spain and Spanish is my first language. I just moved to Brisbane after living and working as a Spanish teacher in Birmingham, UK.
I love teaching my language to other people and sharing my culture. I'm really enthusiastic and passionate about languages and I also speak Portuguese and a bit of French. I feel really lucky to be able to communicate with so many people from so many different countries and I want you to have that superpower too! Actually, Spanish is the No. 2 Spoken language in the world in terms of people speaking it as their first language (329 million!). For me it's a real blessing having people from different cultures interested in my mother tongue and I will be really happy to help you in your new adventure!

I can teach Spanish all levels. I can help you with grammar, reading, listening, speaking...I can also prepare you for official Spanish language exams (DELE).
I have worked teaching Spanish to children, high school students and adults back in the UK.
My teaching method depends on my student. I normally do 1h.-1.30h lessons mixing a bit of grammar (starting from basic), vocabulary, reading, listening and speaking. I try not to bore my students so in 1 hour we can learn many different things and divide the lesson in separate modules so we can refresh to different things. I also prepare a 'Funny' module where we learn things about Spanish and South American culture, learning-games, idioms...
