About Alex

I’m a native Spanish speaker with a strong background in business, education, and working with adult learners. I hold an MBA and am currently pursuing a doctorate in Business Administration, which has shaped the way I explain complex ideas clearly and patiently.
My goal as a tutor is to help students feel confident using Spanish in real-life situations — whether for work, travel, or everyday conversation. I create a supportive, low-pressure environment where mistakes are part of the learning process and progress feels natural.
I take a professional, personalized approach to every lesson, adapting to each student’s goals, level, and learning style. I’m reliable, well-prepared, and committed to helping my students succeed.

About the lesson

My approach is practical, conversational, and learner-centered. As a native Spanish speaker with a background in business and higher education, I focus on helping students use Spanish confidently in real situations, not just memorize grammar rules.
I emphasize:
Real conversation and active speaking
Vocabulary that fits the student’s personal or professional goals
Clear explanations of grammar only when it supports communication
Gentle correction and repetition to build confidence
I adapt each session based on how the student learns best and what they need Spanish for.
A typical lesson plan
A typical lesson includes:
Warm-up conversation (5–10 minutes) to practice speaking naturally
Targeted focus (vocabulary, grammar, or expressions tied to real-life use)
Guided practice through dialogue, role-play, or examples
Independent speaking time to build fluency
Quick recap + takeaways students can use immediately
Lessons are flexible and evolve as the student progresses.
What sets me apart as a tutor
What sets me apart is my ability to bridge language learning with real-world application, especially for adults and professionals. I understand how Spanish is actually spoken in everyday and professional contexts, and I tailor lessons so students feel comfortable using the language outside the classroom.
My background in business, leadership, and teaching allows me to:
Explain concepts clearly and patiently
Create a low-pressure learning environment
Adapt lessons for professional, academic, or conversational goals
Students don’t just “study” Spanish — they start using it.
Who my lessons are for
My lessons are best suited for:
Adult learners
Professionals who want Spanish for work, travel, or daily life
Beginners to intermediate students
Learners who want conversational confidence rather than textbook-heavy instruction
Students interested in Business or Professional Spanish
I tailor each lesson to the student’s level, goals, and pace.

I highly recommend Alex for anyone looking to improve their Spanish. Being a native speaker, his depth of knowledge is incredible, but what truly sets him apart is his teaching style. He has a remarkable ability to explain complex concepts in a way that is easy to understand and apply. He’s not just an expert in the language; he’s an expert at transferring that knowledge to his students.
