Mariana has been my Spanish teacher for almost five years. She is very passionate, enthusiastic, and patient. She is also very organized, punctual, and conscientious. When I met Mariana, my Spanish was at a beginner level. Four years later and I've reached fluency. Mariana has a way of making the language come alive. She uses articles, videos, audio files and stories to provide a wide variety of media and selects topics that align with my interests. For example, I really enjoy rap music. Mariana planned classes for me based on popular Latino hip-hop groups like Calle 13 and Paulo Londra. Thanks to her lessons, I have learned lots of interesting vocabulary and have gotten practise with different grammar forms in a context that I loved. I have studied with other Spanish instructors, but no one else has so inspired me to learn the language.
