About Benedetta
Hi, I’m Bene! I’m an Italy-born, European-raised, Italian-Australian language teacher.
I was born in Italy and grew up between Spain and Belgium. This gave me the great chance of expanding my linguistic and cultural baggage from a young age.
I obtained my certificate as language teacher and started teaching both in language schools and as a private tutor, to students of all ages. I have worked for several years in the localisation industry, overseeing the linguistic adaptation of projects for film studios and commercial brands. However, teaching has always been my passion, so I decided to dedicate myself to language and culture teaching, as well as giving people fun tips and twists to their travels to Italy and broader Europe.
I love travelling, discovering new countries and cultures. I am also a big foodie, always interested in trying out new recipes or restaurants. I love boardgames – I even try to bring them into the lessons – and always enjoy a nice day at the beach. I am a big supporter of underdogs and I strive to make everybody feel welcome and safe in my class.

The lessons are tailored to make them fun, engaging and most of all to give the student the right tools to go out in the world and use the language they are learning confidently.
I like to include a cultural aspect to lessons to give a better understanding of the target language and its users. This is usually done drawing from my own experiences or relying on texts and audiovisual content brought into the lessons.
