About Irene
My name is Irene from Zanzibar, I grew up speaking Swahili as my mother tongue. I am a friendly and patient person who loves sharing my culture with people from around the world, especially Europe.
I have been helping tourists and friends from Spain and other countries learn Swahili for everyday life. I love teaching because I love seeing my students smile when they can finally greet someone in Swahili. I am also learning Spanish so I understand how it feels to learn a new language.
I want to teach on Superprof to connect with more students who want to visit our beautiful islands and to share the real Zanzibar culture.

Jambo! I am a native Swahili teacher from Zanzibar, Tanzania. I teach the real Swahili we speak every day in the streets, markets, and with family, not just from books.
If you want to travel to Zanzibar, Tanzania or Kenya, work in Africa, or you love African culture, I will help you speak with confidence. My classes are very fun, simple and practical. We focus on conversation, greetings, shopping, directions, and culture.
I teach total beginners and intermediate learners. I am very patient and I adapt to your pace. I offer online. Karibu sana! Let's learn together.
