About Flora

Hi! I'm Flora, a native Mandarin speaker from Taiwan with a Master's degree in Chinese Language and Literature.

I have four years of experience working on Chinese language education projects at Taiwan's National Academy for Educational Research (NAER). During this time, I contributed to the development of Mandarin learning resources, including reading materials, vocabulary entries, and language exercises reviewed by subject-matter experts.

I have also completed a 20-hour Mandarin teacher training program and studied Teaching Chinese as a Second Language during my undergraduate years.

I currently teach personalized one-on-one online Mandarin lessons to teens and adults. I enjoy creating a friendly and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable speaking, asking questions, and developing their language skills at their own pace.

My goal is to make learning Mandarin practical, engaging, and relevant to each student's interests and everyday life.

About the lesson

My lessons focus on helping students communicate naturally and confidently in Mandarin.

I believe language learning should be practical, interactive, and connected to everyday life. Rather than following a fixed teaching style, I adapt each lesson to the student's level, interests, and learning goals.

**Who are my lessons for?**

I welcome teens and adults at different learning levels, from complete beginners to learners with previous Mandarin experience.

For beginners, we can start with pronunciation, Pinyin, basic vocabulary, and simple everyday conversations.

For learners with previous experience, we can focus on expanding vocabulary, improving fluency, and expressing ideas more naturally.

I primarily teach **Taiwanese Mandarin and Traditional Chinese characters**, with an emphasis on speaking, listening, and practical communication.

My goal is to create a relaxed and supportive learning environment where you feel comfortable practicing Mandarin and making progress at your own pace.
