About Thai Tue Minh
I'm Minh - a native Vietnamese speaker from Hanoi - the capital city of Vietnam. I’m currently based in Sydney as a postgraduate student at the University of Sydney.
My academic journey has taken me across two countries and three disciplines. I hold two bachelor's degrees from Vietnam, one in International Economics and one in International Relations, and I am now completing a Master's degree in Digital Communication and Culture at one of Australia's most prestigious universities. Before university, I was a student at one of Hanoi's top-ranked specialist high schools, where I developed a deep love for history, and the power of language to connect people across cultures.
Beyond my academic background, I have practical experience teaching Vietnamese and English as a language in Vietnam, which means I understand not just how to speak the language fluently, but how to break it down, explain it clearly, and make it genuinely accessible to learners at every level. Teaching is something I approach with both patience and enthusiasm. I know how challenging it can be to learn a new language, and I am committed to making that journey as engaging and rewarding as possible for every student.
Living and studying in Sydney has also given me a unique perspective: I understand what it means to navigate life in a new language and culture, and I bring that empathy directly into my teaching. Whether you are learning Vietnamese to connect with family, to travel, or simply out of curiosity, I am here to guide you every step of the way.

About My Lessons
Whether you are a complete beginner curious about Vietnamese culture, a heritage speaker looking to reconnect with your roots, or a professional seeking to build workplace communication skills, my lessons are designed to meet you exactly where you are.
How I Teach
Each session runs for 1-2 hours and is structured around two core phases.
We begin with a focused knowledge-building segment, where I introduce vocabulary, grammar structures, pronunciation patterns, and cultural context in a clear and accessible way. The second phase shifts to direct practical application: this is where you get to actively use what you have just learned in real conversation with a native speaker. This structure ensures that every lesson meaningfully develops all four essential language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
I believe that language learning is most effective when it feels natural rather than mechanical. My approach combines structured methodology with genuine conversation, so that students build both confidence and competence simultaneously. Lessons are adapted to each student's pace, goals, and learning style - no two students learn the same way, and my teaching reflects that.
My Background
I am a native Vietnamese speaker from Hanoi with hands-on experience teaching Vietnamese as a language in Vietnam. I hold two bachelor's degrees in International Economics and International Relations, and I am currently completing a Master's degree in Digital Communication and Culture at the University of Sydney.
